@TheRagingElf If by “inconvenienced” you mean thousands and thousands of actual people losing their jobs and livelihoods then I agree.

@arryTuttle @lrobertson1982 I stand by my list. And the countless other examples I’ve since added to that thread. But I will read up on Peled.

@arryTuttle @lrobertson1982 Don’t know enough re Peled (and I haven’t commented on him). But watched Loach interview a few times (cos didn’t want to believe what happened). He moved from a question on Holocaust denial, seemingly unable to condemn it, to talk re Palestine. For me that shows he has a problem.

@Curious_Chak Sure. By all means say it’s not funny. But don’t say it’s propaganda by Zionists.

Also, a satirical sketch show did a satire about Corbyn. It also did one about May, Rees-Mogg, Gove, etc etc. The JC sketch was no more propaganda or part of a BBC plot than the rest of the sketches. It was satire. If the left can’t take satire then we’re in all sorts of problems

I’d ask them to step back and listen to those pointing out why the assumption that Dave B wrote that sketch reveals dodgy conspiracy thinking, why presuming Tracy Ullman/Dave B are Zionists just because they’re Jews reveals dodgy thinking (Dave B certainly isn’t a Zionist).

@Baddiel The problem I often see is otherwise decent, anti-racist people on the left do not realise they’re being anti-semitic. They (understandably) bristle if it’s pointed out to them and get angry instead of trying to understand what they said wrong as they might with other minorities.

Incredible that the Tracy Ullman Corbyn sketch row rumbles on. A perfect example of unwitting anti-semitism (the conspiracy that @Baddiel wrote it) and out-and-out anti-semitism (that all Jews are Zionists and in a plot to bring down Corbyn).

Labour: “We want a jobs first Brexit...” “So you’ll support the Lord’s EEA amendment then?” Labour: “A Brexit that gives us the same access as before...” “So, the EEA?” Labour: “The sane frictionless trade as before...” “EEA then?” Labour: “No, we’ll abstain” https://t.co/frU2pKqhH0
