FULL BRITISH BREXIT:
EGG on our face
The economy’s TOAST
We’ve become has-BEANS
Made a complete HASH brown of it
SausAGES to rectify this terrible mistake
It’s a total BaCON.
The Conservative Party
“We are the party of business”
If by “inconvenienced” you mean thousands and thousands of actual people losing their jobs and livelihoods then I agree.
As Boris Johnson dismisses business concerns over Brexit with “fuck business”, here’s his more complete guide to who can and can't get fucked.
A writing deadline looms like the wall in Game of Thrones if the wall could run towards you so I must take a short break. But you know what I’d tweet:
Labour👍(terms and conditions apply)
LibDems - who cares unless #TweetLikeIts2013
Till soon x https://t.co/VpX2jwQkym
Latest government timetable for Brexit negotiations:
29 Mar 2017: invoke Article 50
30 Mar 2017- 28 Mar 2019: negotiate position within cabinet
29 Mar 2019 - 31 Dec 2020: continue negotiating within cabinet
1st Jan 2021 onwards: continuing negotiating within cabinet
I stand by my list. And the countless other examples I’ve since added to that thread. But I will read up on Peled.
Don’t know enough re Peled (and I haven’t commented on him). But watched Loach interview a few times (cos didn’t want to believe what happened). He moved from a question on Holocaust denial, seemingly unable to condemn it, to talk re Palestine. For me that shows he has a problem.
Sure. By all means say it’s not funny. But don’t say it’s propaganda by Zionists.
Also, a satirical sketch show did a satire about Corbyn. It also did one about May, Rees-Mogg, Gove, etc etc. The JC sketch was no more propaganda or part of a BBC plot than the rest of the sketches. It was satire. If the left can’t take satire then we’re in all sorts of problems
I’d ask them to step back and listen to those pointing out why the assumption that Dave B wrote that sketch reveals dodgy conspiracy thinking, why presuming Tracy Ullman/Dave B are Zionists just because they’re Jews reveals dodgy thinking (Dave B certainly isn’t a Zionist).
The problem I often see is otherwise decent, anti-racist people on the left do not realise they’re being anti-semitic. They (understandably) bristle if it’s pointed out to them and get angry instead of trying to understand what they said wrong as they might with other minorities.
Incredible that the Tracy Ullman Corbyn sketch row rumbles on. A perfect example of unwitting anti-semitism (the conspiracy that @Baddiel
wrote it) and out-and-out anti-semitism (that all Jews are Zionists and in a plot to bring down Corbyn).
Labour: “We want a jobs first Brexit...”
“So you’ll support the Lord’s EEA amendment then?”
Labour: “A Brexit that gives us the same access as before...”
“So, the EEA?”
Labour: “The sane frictionless trade as before...”
Labour: “No, we’ll abstain” https://t.co/frU2pKqhH0
Brexiter furious at country being “marched towards 1970” instead of his preferred 1950. https://t.co/FtdhC1hyFn
