Full quote from PM on Pope/Philip Wilson: "The time has come for the Pope to sack him. There are many leaders that have called on him to resign, it is clear that he should resign, & I think the time has come now for the ultimate authority in the church to take action & sack him."
Hmmm. The questions/answers to the PM lasted only 5 minutes. That must be one of the shortest prime ministerial press conference.
There are no questions about jobs and the PM's people call last question which is about Adelaide Archbishop Philip Wilson. PM says "it is time" for the Pope to sack him.
The PM says of Craig Kelly: "His remarks do not reflect, obviously, the policy of the government. They certainly warranted an apology which I understand he's made."
First question to PM and Treasurer is about Craig Kelly. PM asks if they are any questions about the jobs figures. There aren't. PM looks only slightly disappointed before saying the govt's position on Russia and MH17 is clear.
Treasurer Scott Morrison just referenced Taylor Swift in his comments about youth unemployment figures. 🙄

Given all the hand wringing about the Greens role in the knock back of the emissions trading scheme a few years back, this intervention from former party leader Bob Brown is very significant. Also goes to internal Greens identity struggle. https://t.co/HXtHalXU85 via @CroweDM
This man was this week convicted of rape and assault yet he remained a senior member of One Nation’s national executive and was put in charge of increasing party membership in the lead-up to his trial, @AmyRemeikis
I also get a faint feeling of deja vu, and mild panic, whenever I see Kevin Rudd on Sky. Makes me feel like I might have missed a possible leadership challenge.

This is a fascinating story. What the High Court finds will have serious implications for freedom of speech. If you're a public servant and you have views, this case is about you. https://t.co/KRhWJEPS6H

Also interesting in the context of this very well read piece containing lots of angst about Obama's lack of visibility in the Trump age. https://t.co/izVT7CjUgN
